The Library

Silence
Only pages flipping
The library is huge
So many books
So many stories

On a full shelf
Sits a lonely book
Seeing people
Come and go
Grabbing all the books around her
Waiting for someone to pick her

Her pages are weathered
Having survived
One too many storms
She's still stuck together
Through sheer stubbornness
Her glossy cover has long faded
Any other book would feel bad
But this book knows her worth

She's a mixture
Of depth and heart touching memories
Feelings and emotions
Of once alive romances
Capturing the truest of loves
Followed by the deepest betrayals

Timeless she stands
With a wealth of knowledge within her
Waiting for the person
Curious enough to explore her
